Dr Sam Forshaw joins the ARG

Sam has been welcomed as another new member of the ARG. After Studying for a Bachelors in Chemistry and Physics at Keele University, Sam moved to the University of Warwick to complete a Masters in Chemistry specialising in Organic synthesis and stayed to complete a PhD in Bio orthogonal click chemistry.  Sam is working in drug development mostly working on projects within the field of oncology.

Sam remarked” I am excited to join the Arctic Research Group to expand my research interests into environmental chemistry and hope to complete a study within the field on the next expedition. It's an exciting, albeit worrying, time to study how the Arctic is affected by the warming atmosphere, as the speed of change increases”.
