Applications

Arctic Research Group welcomes applications from both younger and more experienced individuals interested in participating in Arctic expeditions.

As a volunteer-based charity, ARG offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Arctic field research, expedition work, and safety practices, while making a meaningful contribution to each expedition.

Younger members play an important role in shaping the future of Arctic field research. At the same time, experienced mountaineers and field researchers are vital in supporting, mentoring, and working alongside the next generation of expedition participants.

Participation Information

Expedition Participation

Please note that expedition teams are typically selected at least six months before departure. All expedition members are volunteers and play an active role in the preparation and planning of the expedition well in advance.

Members are also expected to contribute to the work that follows an expedition, including reporting, sharing findings, and helping to support the development and planning of future expeditions.

Membership

There are no membership fees. As a registered charity, Arctic Research Group relies on the voluntary contributions of its members. Members support the organisation by contributing their time, expertise, and, where possible, financial support toward the costs of expeditions and related activities.
